En Cristales metamórficos utilizo mármol, silicatos y otros minerales junto con pigmentos y aglutinantes para generar piezas matéricas y dinámicas en su proceso. Para mí es un campo de juego y experimentación, en donde no hay un apego a la imagen y en donde pienso más a través de los materiales implicados, explorando las posibilidades que estos otorgan. La imagen se va construyendo y destruyendo una y otra vez, sesión tras sesión. Me interesan aquí la transformación constante y la acción de edificar algo para luego devastarlo o borrarlo. Entiendo estas piezas como una especie de diario, de palimpsesto, como memoria y tiempo contenidos. Son un vehículo alquímico, para transmutar el día a día. _____________________ In Cristales metamórficos, I use marble, silicates, and other minerals, along with pigments and binders, to create works that are both material-driven and dynamic in their process. For me, it is a playground for experimentation, where there is no attachment to a fixed image and where I think primarily through the materials involved, exploring the possibilities they offer. The image is built up and broken down over and over again, session after session. What interests me here is constant transformation, the act of constructing something only to then devastate or erase it. I see these pieces as a kind of diary, a palimpsest, as memory and time made tangible. They are an alchemical vehicle—a way to transmute the everyday.
