About
Located in San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood in Mexico City, Gobernador emerges as a meeting space be-
tween emerging artists and established careers that warrant renewed visibility. Its program proposes esta-
blishing dialogues between generations and distinct temporalities, linking current production with works, objects, and archives of historical relevance.
Through exhibitions and curatorial projects, the gallery seeks to generate new readings between contempo-
rary practices and materials from other moments and cultural contexts, activated from a curatorial perspective situated in the present.
Gobernador works with artists producing from Latin America, whose practices are deeply connected to the
region’s cultures and critical issues. The gallery’s focus lies in building collaborative networks that strengthen the bond between artists and a diverse community.
Its projects explore various mediums and languages, articulated through a poetic sensitivity and a critical gaze on the present.
